Introduction of the VMC 5-Axis Machine Tool


The VMC 5-axis machine tool is designed based on the principles of standardization and a simple, reliable structure. It aims to provide high-quality, powerful five-axis machining performance at an economical cost. The machine is equipped with the DEED high-performance S-series CNC system, which uses a high-performance control core. This system can be applied in CNC machining tools and industrial automation control, featuring a high-performance plastic shell or a full aluminum modular design for the exterior. The main module is compatible with both horizontal and vertical setups. The five axis vmc machine tool can be paired with a fully digital AC servo drive unit, offering robust flexible parameter configuration. While delivering high-precision and efficient servo control and high-speed PLC control, the system uses standard CNC command systems and data communication interfaces, facilitating easy integration with CAD/CAM/CAE systems. The system includes five-axis RTCP and five-axis inclined plane control machining functions, enabling high-precision machining of complex spatial curves and surfaces.


Main Structure and Features of DEED VMC 5-Axis Machine Tool


The vmc 5 axis machine tool applies an extremely rigid base to supports the B and C axis cradle rotation. The X/Z axis adopts a cross-slide design, ensuring the optimal stability required for machining precision and surface quality.


The gantry structure of VMC 5-axis machine tool is highly rigid and formed through resin sand casting, with systematic aging treatment applied to the castings.


The X, Y, and Z axes all use high-rigidity, ultra-precision, medium preload linear guides.


Feed in the X, Y, and Z directions uses high-pitch, high-precision, high-strength C3 ground medium preload, zero backlash ball screws.


The spindle adopts a high-speed, high-precision, high-rigidity electric spindle unit from a Taiwanese brand, with a maximum speed of 30,000 rpm and a rated torque of 6 Nm.


The cooling fluid chip removal system of VMC 5-axis machine tool washes the iron chips into the chip removal machine, which then uses a chain-type conveyor to transfer the chips to the machine's chip cart. This process is convenient, efficient, and provides excellent chip removal performance, making it easy for users to clean up chips.


The X, Y, and Z direction guides and ball screws are all enclosed with protective covers, ensuring cleanliness and maintaining the transmission and movement precision of the machine tool. It comes equipped with a high-dynamic rotary actuator cradle table. This actuator features high precision, compact size, large torque, low vibration, and high protection. The precision remains unchanged for over 20,000 hours, guaranteeing long service life. The harmonic drive offers true zero backlash and integrates a harmonic reducer, torque motor, electromagnetic brake, encoder, and driver into one unit. It boasts excellent dynamic response performance, requires no regular maintenance, and does not need grease replacement. The B axis provides a maximum torque of 169 Nm, and the C axis provides a maximum torque of 69 Nm, enabling highly rigid continuous rotation and arbitrary angle positioning.
